Kittiwake's recently opened Asia Pacific Regional Office were invited to give a presentation to the Joint Branch of the RINA (Royal Institute of Naval Architects) and IMarEst (Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology at the prestigious Pan Pacific Hotel on Friday 25 Feb.

Addressing an audience of more than 40 members from the Royal Malaysian Navy, merchant marine and marine supply and design industries, Kittiwake's Director Asia Pacific, Martin Lucas presented a paper on the Current Trends in Oil Condition Monitoring.

The paper focused on the key elements of oil condition monitoring and the latest technology for undertaking these vital activities on board vessels.

Following the talk a lively question and answer session ensued, where a number of penetrating questions were put to the speaker on subjects ranging from the involvement of engine manufacturers providing specific wear characteristics for their equipment to the direction in which technology was moving for real time oil condition monitoring.

The evening concluded with a dinner hosted and sponsored by Motor Teknologi and Industri (Kittiwake's exclusive representative in Malaysia and Kittiwake Asia Pacific Regional Office).
