Following the success of Kittiwake’s first Dealer Conference in Kuala Lumpar 2004 Kittiwake dealers and agents from 12 countries gathered at the Hilton Avisford Park Hotel in West Sussex, UK for the second World-Wide dealer conference.
The conference, which was a two day event, ran from September 13th to 14th and gave the dealers the first look at Kittiwake’s new range of online sensor technology and condition monitoring equipment.
The dealers and agents were introduced to many of Kittiwake’s staff through a series of corporate presentations ranging from growth strategy to quality and stock control and a visit to the Kittiwake Head office for a comprehensive tour of the facilities.
The key focus of the conference was on the new range of online sensors and the fdM instrumentation. After four years of research and development, Tom Kent and Andrew Baldwin (Development Engineers), were able to launch the ANALEXrs Oil Condition and Ferro range of sensors. Iain Lamont (Technical Manager, Instrumentation) was also able to display and demonstrate the new fdM Ferrous Debris Monitor.
The delegates were also told of the plans for the current suite of products, including a comprehensive introduction from Gary Rowland (Sales Manager – Water Testing) to the Industrial Water Treatment Market and range of products Kittiwake have been very successfully selling in the UK and parts of Europe for the last 5 years.
Don Edwards and Larry Larson joined the presentation team from one of Kittiwake’s most successful and long standing dealer relationships, Distribution Specialists Inc, USA. They used their vast experience in the market to give an extremely useful presentation on winning contracts from Large Companies and the Military.
Martin Williamson of KEW Engineering, also attended as a guest speaker and used his knowledge of the lubricant market and condition monitoring & maintenance scene to give a valuable and constructive presentation on where and how to sell the ANALEXrs range of equipment.
Thanks must also go to the Richmond Arms Pub in West Ashling which was the venue for a fun evening of food, ale and skittles enjoyed by all.
Commenting on the closing day of the conference, Paul Froome, Kittiwake’s Marketing Manager said:
