Kittiwake Asia Pacific Present Key Note Lecture at PSME in Manila

Oil Condition Monitoring at PSME10/31/2005

The PSME (Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers) invited Martin Lucas Director of Kittiwake Asia Pacific to present a Key Note Lecture on Oil Condition Monitoring and The Introduction of On Line Sensor Technology at their conference at the World Trade Centre in Manila in Oct 2005.

Presented to over 100 engineers from many industries including mining, power, cement, pulp and paper and steel, the lecture focused on the vital importance of oil condition monitoring in industry today and the introduction of sensor technology that will provide real time data on oil and machinery condition.

Kittiwake have spent over 3 years developing a range of on line sensors that incorporate both magnetrometry and capacitive technologies and these are being introduced to the market over coming months. Speaking after the lecture, Martin Lucas observed “The Philippines is a fast developing manufacturing country with many large industrial sites and power generators. The engineering community already has a good understanding of the needs of oil condition monitoring and the exposure to this new technology was greeted with great enthusiasm by those present. We were pleased to have some of this technology on show at our exhibition stand which was very well visited during the week.”

Commenting on the PSME Conference, Erasto Fegidero, GM of Roston Industrial Sales Kittiwake’s exclusive representative in the Philippines said “Having had good success with introducing Kittiwake’s traditional technology to the Philippine market, we are now very excited about the prospect of working with our large client base with this new technology. We expect it to be very successful.”
