The new Boulevard Hotel, in Kuala Lumpur’s Mid Valley City region, played host to 13 of Kittiwake’s Asia Pacific Dealers in September. A total of 30 people attended the conference where the main theme was the launch of the new Analexrs On Line Sensors. Opening the conference, Kittiwake’s Managing Director, Chris Leigh-Jones, thanked the dealers for their excellent sales efforts over the previous two years which had seen revenue in the region double in the first year and then increase by 50% in the second. The forecast for the new financial year shows the revenue increasing by a further 30-40%. He then went on to detail the expected revenue potential of the new products in the various target markets.
Kittiwake were pleased to have Martin Williamson of Kew Engineering, a training and marketing consultancy based in the UK, at the conference and he gave presentations of the route to market for the new products and an overview of the competition. Tom Kent and Andrew Baldwin, engineers from Kittiwake UK, gave presentations outlining the technical aspects of the products and detailing case studies of recent installations. They were also on hand during both days to provide live demonstrations of the sensors and to provide practical advice on the installation and use of the sensors.
Delegates were treated to an evening pool side barbeque at the Tivoli Villas condominium which provided plenty of opportunities for networking and socializing.
Commenting after the event, Martin Lucas, Kittiwake’s Asia Pacific Director, said “ It was a great pleasure to have so many of our dealers gathered together once again in KL and also to see some new faces from the new specialist dealers who have been invited to work with us in launching this exciting new range of products. With products already installed in a number of diverse applications including ships and power plants and with a number of others in the pipeline, the prospects for these products in the Asia Pacific region look very promising. All the staff from Kittiwake were greatly encouraged by the knowledge and enthusiasm of our dealer base and are confident that this bodes well for the future in this region.”
