Always keen to improve process, reduce waste and deliver consistent products worldwide the Kittiwake team have been trained to IPC standards for all electronic assemblies.

Working with ART (Advanced Rework Technology ltd) Kittiwake arranged for an IPC trainer to visit the site and train the operatives to the internationally recognized IPC-A-610 standard.

IPC-A-610 “Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies” lays down a set of guidelines of acceptability for all assembly operations covering topics such as (handling, electrostatic considerations, soldering, mechanical fixings, cleanliness etc).

These guidelines enable our team to reference any judgment of assembly and inspection back to a standard with no ambiguity, giving kittiwake a ridged set of guidelines of acceptability to adhere too.
