The Automatic Soot Remover Dosing Unit is specifically designed to handle aggressive liquid soot removing chemicals used in harsh marine environments. It is available to marine customers through Unitor Ships Services.
Soot build up in the exhaust of gas boilers can lead to low steam production or fires, and must be removed. Although modern low speed engines operate efficiently, a result of this is lower exhaust temperatures which reduces the effectiveness of traditional powder based soot removers. Liquid soot removers can be difficult to handle and are best used sparingly at frequent intervals - Kittiwake provides the perfect solution.
Moving parts break, water supplies need to be installed and size does matter - you don't have suffer these disadvantages. The new liquid soot remover injection unit from Unitor, can be installed in a few hours needing only an air and electrical supply. A dedicated PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) provides control and monitoring functions for years of trouble free operation.
