Marine Applications: Mobilgard Scrapedown Analyzer
Measuring ferrous debris in oil samples is a difficult problem. Measuring ferrous debris in oil samples in a steel, ocean-going ship, next to a very large steel and cast iron marine engine is doubly difficult. A four-year joint research project with ExxonMobil has now successfully adapted PQ Technology specifically for use in harsh marine applications.
The Mobilgard Scrapedown Analyzer incorporates PQ Technology and is now available through ExxonMobil Marine Lubricants. It provides real-time, accurate readings in a ship's engine room and is the only Analex technology recommended or supported for this application.
