Aerobic bacteria are naturally occuring microbes whose activities can have serious economic consequences in an industrial environment.
Aerobic bacteria cause fouling, corrosion, slime formation, bad odours and water clarity problems, particularly in warm environments. Addition of biocides to the water can limit proliferation and help to effectively manage water systems.
Regular aerobic bactera quantification using Kittiwake bacteria dip slides provides a visible indication of proper control and can help to identify potentially problematic increases in bacteria levels.
