Chloride

Chloride is a major constituent of sea water and is extreamly corrosive in acidic environments. It requires close monitoring in applications such as marine boiler systems that are prone to seawater contamination.

Chlorides are used by the water treatment professional to determine cycles of concentration in low pressure boilers and cooling systems. Merchant and ocean going passenger vessels need to ensure that chloride contamination of engine cooling systems and boilers does not occur.

Chloride Test Kits and Equipment

Kittiwake Chloride test kits for water samples provide the accuracy and simplicity for on-site or on-board analysis. Drop test kits can be utilised for routine monitoring, while microburette or titrator tests provide greater accuracy. The Kittiwake Smart II Photometer provides the ultimate accuracy in an electronic meter with up to 50 test parameters.

The Kittiwake Chloride Test Kit has been specially developed to offer a simple, cost-effective test for cooing water treated with Glysacorr® G93-94. Featuring the new Kittiwake ECON Comparator , it provides an easy to use test, with fast results.
