Dipslides

Dipslides are a simple swabbing and sampling device for assessing microbial contamination. Used in conjunction with the Kittiwake Incubator, they avoid the need for lengthy laboratory based procedures. Dipslide units consist of nutrient agars on a sampling paddle, permanently attached to an easy to hold cap, contained in a clear plastic shatterproof chamber. The chambers are batch numbered for quality control purposes.

Dipslides can be used to monitor microbial growth wherever the potential may exceed 1000 organisms per ml of sample fluid. Industrial water dipslides can be used to detect slime forming bacteria in cooling and industrial waters and storage tanks and for evaluating biocide performance in treated systems.

Range: Aerobic Bacteria, Nitrite Reducing Bacteria, Sulphate Reducing Bacteria, Yeast and Fungi. Coliforms and Pseudomonas
Test Time: 1 -2 days
Tests: 10 slides per pack
Shelf Life: 6 - 9 months
