Test Kits and Equipment for Boiler Water

Measuring and monitoring treatment levels in boilers and associated conditioning plant and feeds, is essential to maintain output efficiency and longevity of plant. The ECON range of test equipment enables personnel to ensure treatments such as corrosion and scale inhibitors are correctly dosed.

The ECON range of test kits contain all equipment and test reagents for every day boiler water testing. Use them to optimise treatments and monitor critical control parameters. Fast and accurate testing ensures optimum output and efficiency.


Standard Test Kits for Boiler Water

Two standard test kits are available for the analysis of boiler water treatments and water quality:

FG-K25081-KW: ECON Boiler Water No. 2 Test Kit

Boiler Water No. 2 Test Kit is ideal for daily checks on critical inhibitor levels. The kit contains tests for P and OH Alkalinity , Sulphite /Tanin and Chloride .

Housed in a medium black plastic case, with additional space for 2 x ECON Test Meters and 1 x pH Test Strips.

FG-K25082-KW: ECON Boiler Water No. 3 Test Kit

Boiler Water No. 3 Test Kit gives a more complete analysis, ideal for service engineers. An aluminium case contains tests for P and OH Alkalinity , Sulphite /Tanin and Chloride , Hardness LR , Phosphate (with filtration), pH papers and a TDS test meter .

Housed in a robust, with additional space for 1 x ECON Test Meter , 5 x 65ml Reagents, plus 5 x 30 ml Reagents

Comparator Test Kits

A range of individual ECON Comparator Test Kits are available for measuring key boiler water inhibitors such as phosphate and DEHA. All kits are housed in a small plastic case and come complete with an ECON Comparator, comparator test disk, 2 comparator cells and a reagent set. The following comparator kits are available:

FG-K28211-KW: DEHA Comparator Test Kit (0-500 ppm)

FG-K28214-KW: Iron LR Comparator Test Kit (0-3.0 ppm)

FG-K28225-KW: Phosphate HR Comparator Test Kit (10-100 ppm)


Drop Test Kits

ECON Drop Test Kits for Hardness , Sulphite and Tannin are ideal for routine measurement of boiler corrosion inhibitors and softened water quality. All kits are housed in a small plastic case and come complete with a titration jar, syringe and reagent set. The following drop test kits are available:

FG-K28703-KW: Hardness LR Drop Test Kit (1-60 ppm)

FG-K28700-KW: Sulphite Drop Test Kit (20-150 ppm)

FG-K28701-KW: Tannin Drop Test Kit (20-300 ppm)

FG-K28234-KW: ECON B Test Kit Case

Medium black plastic case. Holds 4 x 30 ml and 5 x 65 ml reagent bottles (or 10 pots), plus 2 pots and up to 3 disks and 1 ECON test meter.

FG-K28235-KW: ECON C Test Kit Case

Medium black plastic case. Holds 6 x 65 ml (or 12 pots) and 4 x 30ml reagent bottles, plus 2 pots and 1 x ECON Test Meter .

FG-K28236-KW: ECON D Test Kit Case

Large aluminium case. Holds 27 x 65 ml reagent bottles, 5 pots and 5 x 30ml reagent bottles, plus 2 x ECON Test Meters .

pH Testing

Boiler systems pH levels are generally high (over pH 10) and are easily checked using pH test strips or meters . See pH Test Meters for further details, or choose a test meter from the table below.

Conductivity/TDS/°C Testing

Conductivity or Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) measurement of boiler water systems should be an essential part of everyday analysis that provides information on concentration factor and dissolved boiler solids. Excess solids can lead to boiler water carry over and system contamination.

The Kittiwake Conductivity and TDS meter range is extensive and caters for all accuracy requirements and budgetary constraints.

Dissolved Oxygen Testing

Feedwater conditioning on medium and high pressure boilers is essential to remove corrosive oxygen. Our accurate dissolved oxygen test kits provide a quick and simple means of measuring the concentration (to ppb levels) of boiler feedwater, to establish the effectiveness of conditioning plant.
