ECON Cooling Water Test Equipment

Recirculating cooling water requires carefully chosen chemical
treatments. This helps to minimise microbiological ontamination,
scaling of critical parts such as heat exchangers and to prevent
corrosion.

To be most effective, treatments must be maintained within specific control parameters, as excess inhibitor can have as detrimental an effect as too little.The ECON range of test kits and equipment for cooling water contain all equipment and test reagents required to optimise treatments and monitor critical control parameters quickly, safely and accurately, ensuring optimum output and efficiency.


Standard Test Kits for Cooling Water

A range of multi-parameter ECON test kits are available for the monitoring and control of inhibitors dosed into cooling water to control scale, corrosion and microbiological activity.

FG-K28600-KW: Closed System Inhibitor Test Kit

A small kit for the measurement of nitrite based corrosion inhibitors, added to closed cooling water systems. pH Test Strips are also included for pH control.

FG-K25083-KW: Cooling Water No. 1 Test Kit

This kit contains tests for M Alkalinity , Chloride and Calcium Hardness. A pocket pH test meter is also included.

Housed in a medium black plastic case, there is additional space for up to 2 x 30ml reagents, 1 x reagent pot and 1 x ECON Test Meter (choose from the test kit upgrades below).

FG-K25084-KW: Cooling Water No. 2 Test Kit

This kit contains tests for M Alkalinity , Chloride , Calcium Hardness, Chlorine Comparator , Phosphonate and pH Test Strips . A pocket conductivity/TDS test meter is also included.

Housed in a robust aluminium case, there is additional space for up to 13 x 65ml reagents, 5 x 30 ml reagents, 3 x Test Strips and 1 x ECON Test Meter

Biocide Test Kits for Cooling Water

Kittiwake supply a range of test kits specifically for testing biocides in cooling water. The following kits are available:

FG-K25647-KW: Isothiazolinone Test Kit (0-7.5 ppm)

Isothiazolinone Test Kit Comprised of a simple, quantitative colour comparison test, this disposable test kit contains sufficient reagents for fifty tests. Enables non-technical personnel to measure isothiazolinone levels in minutes.

FG-K25648-KW Quats/Polyquat/Amine Test Kit

This quantitative, ECON titration test is suitable for industrial cooling water and swimming pool applications (Polyquat). Results are available in under two minutes, with sufficient reagents provided for up to 100 tests.

FG-K28204-KW Bronopol Test Kit (0-50 ppm)

A complete comparator kit for the determination of 2-bromo-2-nitro-propane-1,3-diol in a range of applications including cooling water, horticultural feeds, hygeine and personal care products.

FG-K27001-KW: Bardac 22 (Low Level) Test Kit (0-15 ppm)

A “single use” ECON titration kit containing all equipment, a colour chart, instructions and sufficient reagents for 160 tests. Designed specifically for the analysis of low levels of Bardac 22
(0 - 15 ppm) in cooling water systems.

FG-K26125-KW: THPS Test Kit (0-100 ppm)

A complete test kit for the determination of Tetra Hydroxymethyl Phosphonium Sulphate in re-circulating cooling water and drilling applications.

Medium black plastic case. Holds 4 x 30 ml and 5 x 65 ml reagent bottles (or 10 pots), plus 2 pots and up to 3 disks and 1 ECON test meter.

FG-K28235-KW: ECON C Test Kit Case

Medium black plastic case. Holds 4 X 30ml and 6 x 65 ml reagent bottles (or 12 pots), plus 2 pots and 1 x ECON Test Meter.
