Test Kits and Equipment for Water System Disinfection

A targeted range of products to enable rapid on-site evaluation of pH and oxidising biocide levels used as part of routine or scheduled water system disinfection.

Traditionally chlorine has been used to levels of 50 ppm or ore, but alternative products are becoming more popular. These include chlorine dioxide , hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid . This range of products will provide industry with the differing requirements at each tage of the disinfection process. Accurate drop tests or comparator testing on storage tanks; quick presence/absence testing of outlets and semi-quantitative testing using graduated strips at sentinel outlets.

FG-K29300-KW: ECON Water System Disinfection Test Kit

A multi-parameter ECON test kit containing a range of basic test equipment for water system disinfection applications. Equipment includes the Kittiwake ECON Comparator with a continuous gradient disk for high level chlorine measurement and reagents for 100 tests, as well as pH test strips and starch/ iodine papers.

Additional space for 2 x 65ml reagents and 1 x ECON Test Meter (not included in the standard kit - must be ordered in addition).

Test Kit Case Options

FG-K28234-KW: ECON B Test Kit Case

Medium black plastic case. Holds 4 x 30 ml and 5 x 65 ml Reagent Bottles (or 10 Pots), plus 2 Pots and up to 3 Disks and 1 ECON Test Meter .

FG-K28235-KW: ECON C Test Kit Case

Medium black plastic case. Holds 4 X 30ml and 6 x 65 ml reagent bottles (or 12 pots), plus 2 pots and 1 x ECON Test Meter .

*All Test Kits come supplied with basic test equiptment (see pdf datasheet for more details.)

Kittiwake ECON Comparator features continuous gradient disks for multi-range testing and uni-directional cells to ensure correct operation with every test. Suitable for use with either sachet or liquid reagents, it can be used either left or right handed for fully flexible operation.

Explanation of Product Table

Qualitative Testing (Q): For presence/absence testing of outlets during disinfection. Tests include starch iodide papers and potassium iodide tablets.

Semi-Quantitative Testing (SQ): Useful to test the approximation of disinfection concentration at sentinel outlets. Tests include Chlorine, Chlorine Dioxide, Hydrogen Peroxide and Peracetic Acid.

Quantitative Testing (QT): For the accurate determination of oxidising biocide using drop test titration or a comparator. Gives a typical accuracy to +/- 10%. Tests include Free Chlorine, Available Chlorine, Chlorine Dioxide and Hydrogen Peroxide.
