Water is the most common contaminant of marine fuels and general lube oils. Kittiwake supply various types of tests / analyzers for water in oil and fuel, depending on your requirements. This data sheet focuses on out On-Site electronic test cell as use in the Power Plant Lab and Oil Test Centre and supplied to Mil Spec NSN*. Water in lube or fuel oil can enter from many sources including condensation, leakage and malfunction of oil treatment systems. It results in corrosion, cavitation and instability of additive packages and encourages the growth of microbes.
This water test works in conjunction with a highly accurate electronic console, which is available with optional software that allows the data to be downloaded from the console to a PC in comma delimited text format. Features are:
